Instructions for initial set-up and updating MFA settings
Initial MFA Setup
Refer to this video or guide for how to set up Multi-factor Authentication. Multi-factor Authentication must be completed upon initial login into the Workday System.
After completing the setup, you will be required to “authenticate” that you are authorized to access the system. This is done by either a texted code, use of the Microsoft Authenticator app, or phone call.
Update MFA settings if you have access to your MFA
After you set up your security verification methods for your work or school account, you can update the related details.
To do this, open the additional security verification page or follow these steps:

Sign into the Microsoft 365 portal (office.com).

Select your avatar in the top right, then select View account.

Click on Security info. Additionally, you may need to click on Update info.
- Select Add sign-in method
- Select Choose a method and then select new method.
- Enter in the required information and Save.
