Shortcuts to more information:

Tuition Costs

Rates vary by permanent residency and the amount of credits students choose to take. To review the full breakdown of tuition and fees for credit classes, visit our Tuition and Fees breakdown on our website.

High school dual enrollment students receive a special reduced rate.

Northampton County residents who are 65 years of age or older qualify for a tuition and fee waiver for credit courses (noncredit/community education does not qualify for a waiver).

Viewing Your Bill

Log into Workday and under "Your Top Apps" click “Finances” to see your charges, statement, financial aid, and payment options. Billing charges are updated each evening in Workday, so any changes to your current course registrations during the day will update overnight. You will see the new balance and any adjustments for adds/drops after 5 a.m. the following day.

Workday Online Payment System

Your Workday Student account provides the convenience of online payment.

  1. Log into Workday and under "Your Top Apps" click “Finances”

  2. Click “Make a Payment”

  3. Choose “Online Payment & Payment Plans” for payment description and make sure
there is at least $1.00 in the “payment amount” section.
*Note you are not making your payment on this page - Workday just requires you to put a dollar amount in that field so you can get to the online payment portal*

  4. Check the box that says “confirm” and hit okay

  5. When the payment portal page loads, click on “make a payment” on the left menu bar, enter your credit/debit card information, and click “continue.”

You should receive a receipt through your student email address after you make your payment. Be sure to check your statement to make sure your payment went through.

*You can also sign up for the payment plan or invite someone else to pay your balance through the payment portal. Click on “overview” along the left menu bar and scroll down to find both links.*

Payment Plan

Spread your tuition bill over several months without paying interest. Follow these instructions every semester to sign up for a payment plan for credit courses. (Noncredit/community education courses are not eligible for this plan.)

  1. Log into Workday and under "Your Top Apps" click “Finances”

  2. Select “make a payment”

  3. Enter “online payment and payment plan” as payment description, and enter payment amount

  4. Check the box that says “confirm” and click “okay” again.

  5. Scroll down to “view payment plan options” and click on “view payment plan options”

  6. A window should pop up on the right side of your screen. It will show your breakdown of payments that will be due upon enrollment and during the following months. If you scroll down in the window, you can see your total balance broken down into five payments and captions that say when each payment will be due.

  7. If you decide you would like to enroll in the payment plan, click “enroll in plan” and sign the terms/conditions by checking the box at the bottom and entering your student ID number as your e-signature. Next you will enter your information (such as your name, email address, and credit card information) to complete the process of enrolling in the payment plan. When you enroll, you will be prompted to make a down payment and pay the $35 enrollment fee up front.

Payments are not automatically deducted. In order for payments to be automatically deducted monthly, you must choose and sign up for auto payments. Otherwise, you will need to manually send payments online every month. There is a $25 payment plan late fee that is applied to the student account for each late payment. Monthly payment plan payments should be made online so they are applied to the payment plan in order to pay down your payment plan balance due.

Other Methods of Payment

There are also several other methods for paying your bill. Choose the one most appropriate for your situation:

  • Mail and Drop Box Payments
  • Financial Aid Payments: Your financial aid will be applied to your tuition bill. Click on the link above to find out what other school-related expenses can be paid for with any remaining financial aid funds.
  • Third Party or Employer Payments: Choose if your employer or another organization will be paying your tuition.
  • Wire Transfers: Northampton can accept payment via wire transfer.
  • TAP529/College Saving Plan Payments

Senior Citizens Waiver

Continue learning after you reach 65 years of age with a senior citizens waiver on certain costs. Northampton County residents who are 65 years of age or older qualify for a tuition and fee waiver for credit courses (noncredit/community education does not qualify for a waiver). The waiver must be requested by the student at the time of registration. A valid PA Photo ID or PA Driver's License is also required.

Note: Waiver is provided for tuition, comprehensive fee, technology fee, and capital fee only. Academic course fees, textbooks, and other expenses that may be required for course completion are not included and are the responsibility of the student. The tuition and fee waiver plus other forms of financial aid awards and/or third-party payments received on behalf of the student cannot exceed tuition and eligible fee charges and if so, will reduce the tuition and fee waiver accordingly.
